Award winning technology
Hygia has won at the 41st Salon International des Inventions de Genève, a prestigious certification awarded to path breaking technology invented across the world.
The technology is patented and owned by the Rosario Cosmetics Pvt. Ltd., the team behind this revolutionary product.
How does it work?
Hygia uses nano tech powered photo-catalysis, to sterilize the air by killing the air borne virus and bacteria in it.
Photo-catalysis refers to the speeding up of a photoreaction in the presence of a catalyst.
Our special coated device gets activated by a visible source of light to attract moisture and produce OH radicals.
These OH radicals then break down the cells of bacteria and virus present in the air, thereby killing them.
Photocatalyst is a combination of two words, “photo” and “catalyst”. ‘Photo’ stands for light and ‘Catalyst’ stands for anything that accelerates the reaction.
As Photocatalysis is a completely natural process, it has no side effects and is completely safe. It reacts as catalyst in the reaction so that its performance maintains for a long time.
A similar reaction is found in nature as well. Chlorophyll, which is present in plants, is a natural photo-catalyst. Chlorophyll captures sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose.
